On the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the State of Kuwait

Minister extended the warmest greetings of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev to H.H. Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah and H.H. Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah.
It was noted that all opportunities will be used to further expanding the multilateral cooperation between the regions and Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations.
During the visit, meetings were held with officials of the country, as well as with the foreign ministers of the Arab States of the Gulf and Central Asia.
Foreign Minister also participated at the third Ministerial Strategic Dialogue of “Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf”. The parties discussed the most acute topics and efficient ways to elevate the growing cooperation to new levels.
In particular, it was noted that the summit, which will be held on May 5 in Samarkand, will be an important stage in expanding ties between the two regions.
At the meeting with Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Amiri Diwan Affairs of Kuwait, special attention was paid to further strengthening Uzbek–Kuwaiti relations, enhancing mutually beneficial ties, and filling agreements with concrete results that serve the interests of people in the two countries.
At the heart of discussions with Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council parties focused on successful organization of the upcoming high–level “Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council” summit in Samarkand.
Minister had a sincere and constructive exchange with Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Uzbekistan remains committed to deepening its partnership with Bahrain across diplomatic, trade, and investment spheres.
Moreover, during the visit there was a constructive exchange with Sheikh Saoud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority. Expanding economic cooperation and unlocking new opportunities for investments were on top of the agenda. Minister reiterated that with its dynamic reforms and investor-friendly environment, Uzbekistan welcomes stronger collaboration with Kuwait Investment Authority to advance mutual growth and prosperity.
