A lot of work is being done in the field of youth policy in our country. Over the past time, a special system of comprehensive support for young people has been created, protecting their rights and legitimate interests, educating enterprising, ambitious youth capable of taking responsibility for the future of our country.

The Youth Parliament was established under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Youth Academy, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan. "Project Factory" started work in the regions. Effective work has been carried out to implement the "five important initiatives" aimed at ensuring the healthy growth of the younger generation, obtaining a quality education and bringing up a comprehensively developed personality, as well as comprehensively supporting the interest of young people in culture, art, sports, information technology and reading books. In our country, new state and non-state preschool educational organizations, general education schools, higher educational institutions, branches of prestigious foreign universities, modern IT parks, cultural and sports institutions, completely new educational institutions for educating a new generation are being created. mature cadres capable of competing in today's globalized environment. In order to radically reform and further develop the youth support system, 2021 has been declared in our country as the “Year of Supporting Youth and Improving the Health of the Population”.

Uzbekistan pays great attention to the development and popularization of sports and physical culture. During the years of independence, an effective system of training professional athletes, coaches and judges has been created in the country. The implementation of these goals in every possible way contributes to the wide promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the education of comprehensively developed youth, and the further development of physical culture and sports in the republic. An important legal basis for the reforms carried out in this direction is the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Physical Culture and Sports” and other regulatory legal acts aimed at attracting citizens, especially youth, women and children, to physical culture and sports. Young boys and girls defending the colors of the national flag, professionals of individual and game disciplines, demonstrating exceptional training and phenomenal skills at representative forums, eloquently confirm that they represent a country with rich sports traditions. The results of the measures taken are manifested in the growth in the number of our compatriots involved in sports and winning prizes in various international tournaments.

Measures for the further development of the Olympic movement and the participation of domestic athletes in it are provided by the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan (NOC), which in 1993 became a member of the International Olympic Committee. The leaders and representatives of the Olympic Council of Asia, the Asian Paralympic Committee, the international federations of weightlifting, boxing, fencing, athletics and gymnastics, the International Wrestling Union, the Asian Taekwondo Union, the World Anti-Doping Agency, who visited our country, praised the ongoing measures to develop the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan. Thanks to the created sports infrastructure, Uzbekistan has become a venue for major international competitions, including world and Asian championships in boxing, taekwondo, freestyle wrestling, fencing and other sports.

The country pays serious attention to the selection of young talented athletes from among the pupils of sports clubs and teams. In this regard, the policy pursued in Uzbekistan to expand the mass character of children's sports, which is rightfully the basis for the formation of a healthy and harmoniously developed generation, is of particular importance. An important step towards the development of children's sports was the creation, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2002, of the Children's Sports Development Fund. Its main task is to assist in the implementation of state policy in the field of development of physical education and sports among children, awakening interest in sports among the younger generation, educating them in the spirit of patriotism.

Thanks to the large-scale transformations carried out in the country, sports have become one of the most prestigious areas of activity, especially among young people. And the names of talented representatives of Uzbekistan, who have received prestigious international awards, are inscribed in the annals of domestic and world sports.
