«DIGITAL UZBEKISTAN - 2030» STRATEGY 
The Republic is implementing comprehensive measures for the active development of the digital economy, as well as the widespread introduction of modern information and communication technologies in all sectors and areas, primarily in public administration, education, healthcare and agriculture. The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of interested ministries and departments, representatives of the business community and academia, as well as foreign experts, has developed the “Digital Uzbekistan - 2030” Strategy.
 

Much attention paid in recent years to information technology is yielding results. Last year, residents of the IT Park provided services worth 5 trillion UZS and exported services worth $140 million.

370 out of 715 public services have been digitized, last year 12 million people used e-services. As a result of digitalization, the demand from the population for more than 70 types of certificates and documents has been canceled.

In the future the export of information technology services in Uzbekistan should reach $1 billion. This requires at least 100 thousand qualified programmers, IT architects, operators, and engineers. It is necessary to expand the high-speed Internet network in the regions and create a more favorable environment for the presence of foreign IT companies. It is required to introduce new electronic services in the areas most in demand by citizens and entrepreneurs.

Over the past two years, 215 IT training centers have been opened in Uzbekistan. The “One Million Uzbek Coders” project also justified itself. Currently, the majority of IT Park specialists are young people who have completed this program. Youth education will be expanded, including through the Coursera platform. The most talented, who passed the selection, will be trained for the international IT market based on a separate program.

Legislation on cybersecurity consists of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Cybersecurity” and other legislative acts. A unified approach to regulating the sphere of cybersecurity is ensured by the introduction of a unified state system for cyber protection of information systems and resources, aimed at organizing, monitoring and controlling the process of development and implementation of software and hardware for processing and protecting data. The unified state policy in the field of cybersecurity is determined by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the authorized government body in the field of cybersecurity.

Relations arising during the processing and protection of personal data, regardless of the processing means used, including information technology, are regulated by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 2, 2019 No. ZRU-547 “On Personal Data.”

 

A lot of practical work is underway to modernize roads of international importance and improve their technical parameters. In particular, current and future projects include the construction of cement-concrete roads, overpasses or underpasses, flawless design of roads and bridges, and transportation solutions. Particular attention is paid to improving the safety and convenience of traffic.

The railway transport network is consistently developing in Uzbekistan. In particular, the Bukhara – Miskin line was built, which reduced the distance to Khiva to 242 kilometers in 2018. Taking into account the 4,5-fold efficiency of electric trains, the electrification of tracks continues. The Karshi – Kitab, Pap – Namangan – Andijan, and Karshi – Termez lines have been electrified in recent years.
