In recent years, as a result of the creative work carried out in our country with the aim of developing the construction of residential areas, social facilities, updating the engineering, communication and road transport infrastructure, the modern architectural appearance of cities and rural settlements is radically changing.

Work has been systematically carried out in the country to provide the population with high-quality drinking water, to build and reconstruct water supply and sewerage networks.

In particular, in order to improve the system of state regulation, management and operation of drinking water supply and sewerage facilities, a joint stock company "Uzsuvtaminot" was created, uniting regional water supply enterprises.

Sufficient funds are allocated from the republican budget, state trust funds and local budgets, as well as international financial institutions for the modernization of drinking water supply and sewerage systems under the Obod kishlok and Obod mahalla programs.

To this end, over the past six years, we have built about 300,000 apartments and individual houses in the country, which is 10 times more than in previous years.

According to the statistics agency, in January-June 2024, construction works worth 79.8 trillion soums were completed in the Republic of Uzbekistan. This indicator has increased by 10.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.In the months of January-June 2024, a high volume of construction works was recorded in the regions, in particular, in Tashkent city (19,288.6 billion soums), Tashkent region (8,007.6 billion soums) and Bukhara region (5,893.4 billion soums).
